Guilin to Ziyuan Bus

Ziyuan is a county-level city, 110km away from its central city of Guilin in the northeast part. This mountainous region is famous for its Danxia Landforms and Mao’er Mountain which is the highest in southern China. A day or two hiking tour is recommended for outdoor enthusiasts.

Due to the lengthy travel distance and limited transport options, Ziyuan is not as hot as its sister town of Yangshuo. Bus ride from Guilin to Ziyuan is mainly for locals who have limited ability to drive or members who don’t have car. So mentally prepare that you might be the only overseas traveler on that public bus. Buses depart from Guilin North Bus Station and arrive at Ziyuan Bus Station, taking around 2.5 hours. No e-ticket is available currently for passport holders.
