We had a most wonderful experience using Etrip to book our private guided 10-day tour to Kunming-Dali-Shangrila-Lijiang. There were four of us in the group, with one elderly. Etrip was responsive and thorough in planning the itinerary and making changes per our request. All tourist site and train tickets, car charter/driver, guides and part of the hotels was booked through them. I had communicated with Niki from Etrip in English and had no issues with our communication whatsoever.

We had two different drivers and three guides throughout the trip. The drivers were very careful in driving, car was comfortable, and they took a lot of care to help us with our luggage and various hotel liaison. As some of our hotels were located within the ancient towns and not accessible by vehicle, the guides and drivers actually made the effort to double check our hotel bookings and locations and liaised with the relevant hotels to arrange for help with getting our luggage into the hotels. Note that this was despite the fact that we had done the hotel booking ourselves. One of the drivers, Mr Na, was impressive in his knowledge of Chinese history and could avail us with a lot of background and general knowledge of Yunnan and China. Mr Zhang, our other driver, was very careful and ensured we were comfortable and not suffering from altitude sickness as he drove us towards Shangrila.

Two of our guides deserve special mention, Mr Zhao and Ms Sarah. Both spoke fluent English. Mr Zhao was full of knowledge of the history of the various places we visited in Dali, followed us all the way through to Shangrila to hand us over to our Shangrila guide to ensure we wouldn’t run into any issues (and missing his train to go back to Dali), ensured we could could eat the food at various meals.

Ms Sarah was very warm and helpful. As we had an elderly with the group, she ensured the elderly was taken good care of the whole way (as she wasn’t able to walk far). She was very proactive in finding shortcuts and helping us get the elderly onto electric trams without long walks or queues. She was able to give us a good taste of local life as a Tibetan through her own personal experience. At various tourist sites, she was able to guide us through the crowds efficiently. Even at the last point when bringing us to the train station for our train ride back to Kunming from Lijiang, she ensured we were in the right queue and got us checked through by security before running off to catch her own train back home.

We had an excellent time during this trip. Niki from Etrip ensured we were okay with everything throughout the trip, checking in on us and making sure our drivers and guides were in contact with us at various points of the journey.

Lastly, I want to add that this is the second time I have used Etrip to help with my travels in China. The first time was in October 2024 when I had requested their help with booking a car charter to Huanglong/Jiuzhaigou, buying the entrance tickets at the relevant sights, and train tickets to and from Chengdu-Huanglong Jiuzhai station. The whole arrangement was done efficiently and smoothly. We had no issues whatsoever. The driver we had was also great.

I would highly recommend using Etrip to help arrange your travels to China. I would certainly use them again for any of my future travels there!

An unforgettable experience

Li is the one in charge of all tourists, and she couldn’t have given us a better itinerary, better hotels, or better guides. A special mention to Raven, who was always attentive to the whole group and always with a smile.

Everything was perfectly organized down to the last detail: amazing hotels very close to the places we were visiting, all transfers coordinated with no waiting time. If I return to China — because we still have so much left to see — I won’t even think twice. Travel in China will be my agency again.

Thank you, Li, for showing us this country that has surprised and amazed us so much. Every day was more beautiful than the previous one, and I assure you the bar was already set very high.

Our destination was Guilin and several places in Yunnan. It was a 20-day trip with my husband and my daughter, and everything was SPECTACULAR. All the destinations and the hotels were wonderful. We had a private guide and exclusive transfer service just for us.

In addition, we had an incident with my daughter and had to admit her to the hospital for one day due to an illness. I would like to especially highlight the care and dedication of our guide, Li, who stayed with us at all times, even until late at night.

It is an agency that pays attention to every detail and is extremely responsible. I highly recommend them.

Excellent trip to Yunnan Tengchong, Ruili & Mangshi This was an unforgettable experience, especially our guide Wu Xiao Quan did an outstanding job in introducing us about the culture and history of Tengchong, Ruili and Mangshi. It was also an educational trip. He and our chauffeur Mr Liu were very caring and made sure of our safety. The hotel we stayed in Tengchong was Guanfang hotel. We stayed in a suite with complete amenities and snacks as well.

ETripChinas service from the start, helping us to plan our itinerary and then assistance and communication during our trip was exceptional. We absolutely loved our trip to China and would have no reservations in recommending ETripChina to anyone who wants to plan a similar trip.

We had a wonderful 15 days trip in Yunnan. Starting from Kunming, then Dali, Shaxi, Shangri-La, Deqin, Lijiang. We had two excellent local drivers (one for Kunming area, the second for the North of the Region). Etrip China booked for us in advance Hotels, train tickets, and many attractions. Tina always supported us on WeChat, available at every hour of the day. Really recommended!

Boutique Travel agency We were a yoga group of 25 adults traveling to Sichuan, China. As a group leader, I did initial search of Chinese travel agents online, and luckily I found ETripChina, who had many good reviews on TripAdvisor. I contacted them, and we were assigned a travel coordinator, Niki, who helped us to plan the itinerary and arranged our accommodation, transfers and park tickets for our group. We requested a custom itinerary which combined Dujiangyan, Chengdu, Huanglong, Jiuzhaigou and Mt Emei. The itinerary also considered our two daily yoga practices, one in the morning, and another in the evening each day. Niki helped us to fine-tune our custom program; she was extremely patient and quick to reply many questions we asked, including the places to eat (we had to prebook vegetarian restaurants) etc. It was one of a kind complicated journey, and it went smooth thanks to meticulous preparation and coordination done by Niki. Our entire group left amazed by China, and loving Sichuan, which many people referred to as 'least discovered province' - a reason so many people joined our retreat (travel + yoga). I can highly recommend ETripChina to any foreign groups, as you see they've done an excellent job with such a complicated custom itinerary. The guides arranged by Niki were top, fun and knowledgeable. We would love to come again in the future, Zhangjiajie is next on our China itinerary sometimes in 2027-28 fingers crossed.
