Guilin Tours : Picturesque Landscape

Guilin is a very scenic city and one of the best-known tourist destinations in southern China. What makes the city special is its many picturesque limestone mountains and formations, clear water and unspoiled countryside villages.  Guilin was China’s first city to develop tourism, and for decades, this medium size city has large number of western-style hotels and other tourist-friendly facilities. Sightseeing of Guilin also includes the nearby towns and villages of Yangshuo and Longsheng. ETripChina has many classic itineraries covering major spots, or trails to the off-the-beaten road.

Guilin is a very beautiful and one of the most laid-back cities in China. In and around the city, including the township of Yangshuo and Longsheng, there are so many fun things to do with nature like biking, hiking, rafting and mountain climbing from easy to medium level.

How much time do you have in Guilin?

If you have 24 hours stopover in Guilin or short time spared from your business, a Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo with round-trip transfer is a must. Cruise journey starts from Guilin to Yangshuo, taking some 4-5 hours.

Two full days (72-hour visa free transit) will allow you an exploration with a day of Guilin’s highlights – Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Two Rivers and Four Lakes (walking or boat ride); and a day of Li River Cruise plus countryside visit of Yangshuo.

Three full days, you can add in a day excursion to Longji Rice Terraces Fields.

If you have four full days and more, you could also base your tour in Yangshuo and Longji to have close contact with nature.
