When you arrive Guilin in the morning hours, our English-speaking guide will greet you at the airport or train station. Then drive to your hotel located in the city center. Refresh and have lunch at nearby Chinese restaurant.
The whole afternoon, we will discover the most beautiful parts of the Guilin city on foot, following a circle walking route: Hotel - Fir Lake – Banyan Lake - Osmanthus Lake – Mulong Lake – Diecai Hill – Fobo Hill – East-west Alley - Hotel.
This lakefront and riverside trail is a lovely 8 km walking route passing by many iconic photography points, cultural and history sites of the city. It is a circle route taking 5 hours also to complete but allow you start at any point, shorten or extend the route depending on your hotel location and your own capability. If starts in the afternoon, we recommend you walk the clockwise direction as mentioned above (opposite direction if in the morning) to spend the hot hours along the tree-covered path along the lakes. After three hours also, you will arrive the Diecai hill, hike up and take a panoramic view of the city and enjoy a sunset. Then comes to the East-west Alley to rest and enjoy a cup of coffee before back to your Hotel.
After an early breakfast, we drive about 1.5 hour to Longji Scenic Area which covers several villages featuring terraces fields. Our first stop is a brief at Guzhuang Village located at the foot of the mountain range. It is a less-crowded place, and the architectures are authentic. From here we go on a hike up to our main destination, Ping’an village. It is about 1.5 hour with many steps but rewarding with stunning views, each better than the last.
Arrive Pingan at lunch hours. Check in and refresh ourselves with local authentic meal. Afterwards, we take some extra walk to the two viewpoints on the top. Base a night on the mountain, we could escape the crowds perfectly. Looking from above, the fields cascading from 1,100 meters high into the valley, provides very impressive views especially at sunset moment or morning hours when the mist rises.
Absorb in the fresh air and take some pictures for the morning views, we start a drive to Xingping, a well-known ancient town with the most beautiful scenery along the Li River. We first take a look of the town with former glory. And have lunch at local restaurant.
A bamboo ride on the Li River is a must and we only take the way upstream and descend at Nine Horse Hill Dock. Then we make our way back to Xingping via the riverside hiking path. This 5km, rather easy route and can be completed about 1-1.5 with many Iconic spots including the Nine Horse Hill, Yellow Cloth Reflection and 20 RMB view. Besides, the barely visited villages and their natural beauty are also a big draw for all hikers. And you will find out finally why this is the most photographed region all over China.
When reach Xingping, we will continue a 40-minute drive to Yangshuo and check in. Evening hours is free on your own or enjoy an optional show – Impression Liu Sanjie.
Yangshuo has been known to overseas people over 20 years and keeps its popularity on the top lists among all destinations in China. To protect its clear water, nature beauty and authentic villages, government sets up a scenic park along the Yulong River valley to keep the motors away. Walking and biking paths have been built to encourage people travel eco and responsible. The essence of the hiking and biking trails along Yulong valley spans some 15km from Fuli Bridge to Gongnong Bridge. Together with some side roads connecting the outside, the biking routes can also be longer or shorter circuits.
Guide will discuss with you and help to choose the most suitable route. Whichever section you will choose you will marvel throughout for the fresh air, crystal clear water, beautiful farmlands, green groves and man karst formations in various shapes.
We have to bid fare well today. When moving to the airport, we visit Xianggong mountain on the way. Overlooking the first bend of Li River, the mountain is now a base for photographers who seeks for amazing views.

The essence of the biking trails along Yulong valley spans some 15km from Fuli Bridge to Gongnong Bridge. Together with some side roads, there are several biking routes catering for bikers at different levels. We can complete the route or cut it down depending on your own physical condition.
The hiking trail in Longji is quite easy to walk. Hiking pole is not necessary but the basic outdoor stuff must be included in, like sunglasses, hat, water and tissue.
Bamboo ride on Li River is only available 8:00am –10:30am, or 13:00-17:00, and the time in between is for the luxury boats. And the ride is subject to change or cancel due to high water level or government control.
Senior people aged 70+, children under 1.2 meters, pregnant women are not on the permit list for the bamboo ride.
