There are many things to do in Shanghai with kids at all age. Listed in this guide, the World Financial Center, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Zoo, Science and Technology Museum, Maglev Train, Shanghai Natural Wild Insect Kingdom and Shanghai Railway Museum may amuse the kids as well as younger travelers.

Top.1 Oriental Pearl Tower: Here your kids can have a bird view of Shanghai in fine weather and visit the History Museum on the bottom floor. The Pearl Tower is located at the tip of Lujiazui in the Pudong district along the Huangpu River, opposite Shanghai's Bund.

Top.2 Shanghai Science and Technology Museum: The museum exhibit nearly 10,000 specimens including giant dragon fossils which are attractive to little kids. There are also a wide range of activities including IMAX and 3D cinemas.

Top.3 Shanghai Railway Museum: Opened to the public in 2004, the Railway Museum in Shanghai showcases the development of railways in Shanghai and east China in the past 100 years. Over 3,000 pieces of precious cultural relics and photos, locomotive model reflecting all periods from 1870s are on exhibition. Visitors can also have a close view and experience driving a train.

Top.4 The Shanghai World Financial Center: The 492-meter high building is the tallest skyscraper in China, standing in the Pudong district of Shanghai. It is a mix used building accommodating offices, conference rooms, observation decks, shopping malls, financial institutions and hotels after its completion in 2008. On the 100th floor, it is amazingly equipped with a glass in the center making it fun for children.

 

Top.5 Shanghai Natural Wild Insect Kingdom: Enjoyed a convenient location near the Shanghai Pearl TV Tower, the Shanghai Natural Wild Insect Kingdom is a great place for kids and those who love insects. In the area of 3,000 square meters, there are more than 200 species accommodate in the forest, valley, desert and swamp. Visitors can have close touch to some of them and experience feeding the rabbits and guinea pigs in the park.
