Taking a visit to Suzhou from Shanghai is a very good day trip just a short distance away. Suzhou is one of the best tourist destinations in China. Situated on the southern section of Grand Canal (Jing-hang Canal), Suzhou is well known for its aged bridges, pagodas and especially the beautiful gardens.
We start the trip from your hotel in Shanghai, drive about 1.5 hours to cover the distance of some 80km to Suzhou city. Today’s highlights include Humble Administrators Garden which is the largest one in Suzhou covering and widely considered to be the finest and most impressive garden in southern China.
After lunch continue your visit to Tiger Hill and Panmen Gate. If time permits, drop a visit to the No.1 Silk Factory which is the most famous producing factory for the silk artifacts in East of China. We will also enjoy a rickshaw tour to the ancient streets.
Be back to Shanghai hotel around 5:30 - 6:00pm.
