It is a full day trip discovering the most two famous villages in Huangshan. Guide meets at your hotel in Huangshan city, then drive around 1.5 hours to arrive Hongcun Ancient Village. Hongcun village is the best example of Hui-style architecture, one of the major Chinese architectural styles of ancient times. The village is well-preserved and keeps its quaint and unspoiled environment though seeing many visitors yearly. It is very picturesque with the reflection in the pond and the mountains as backdrop. We take walk into the alleys, homes and have lunch there to experience the culture as well.
Afterwards, move to Xidi village which has also been on the list of USECO heritage sites as Hongcun Village. It is very impressive to see the exquisite homes, ancestral halls, memorial archways and especially the embodiments.
