Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Chengdu to Wolong to Rilong - Wolong Panda Reserve

Drive from Chengdu to Rilong takes around 4-5 hours, with a visit to the Wolong Panda Reserve en route. Considered as one of the best panda reserves in China, this sanctuary is home to adorable pandas living in peace. Stay overnight in Rilong. Accommodation: Rilong hotel.

Day 2 Rilong to Xinduqiao - Tagong Prairie, Bamei, Tagong Monastery

Drive to Xinduqiao via Bamei after breakfast and visit the Tagong Prairie, Bamei Prairie, and Tagong Monastery along the way. These prairies are picturesque, and Tagong Monastery is a renowned site with stunning palaces and pagodas. Upon arrival in Xinduqiao, which is considered as a paradise for photographers, take in the breathtaking natural scenery at your leisure. Spend the night in Xinduqiao.

Day 3 Xinduqiao to Yajiang to Litang to Daocheng - 357 km Transport:

Following breakfast, proceed on a scenic drive to Daocheng via Yajiang and Litang. Both Yajiang and Litang are renowned for their stunning natural landscapes, featuring majestic mountains and Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. Hotel: Spend the night in Daocheng.

Day 4: From Daocheng to Riwa to Yading - Chonggu Monastery, Luorong Yak Meadow

Today we have a beautiful and unforgettable experience. We will dedicate a full day to exploring the beauty of Yading Nature Reserve. We will visit Chonggu Monastery, Luorong Yak Meadow, and beautiful snow-capped mountains.

 

Note: Since August 1st, 2013, our vehicle can only reach Riwa. You will need to change the vehicle upon arrival at Yading Reserve or explore Yading on horseback or by foot due to nature conservation. There is a significant temperature difference between day and night, so please bring enough warm clothing.

Day 5 Yading to Daocheng - Mount. Xiannairi, Mount. Yangmaiyong, and Mount. Xiannuoduoji

Continuing the exploration of the stunning Yading Nature Reserve, you will visit its three sacred mountains: Mount Xiannairi, Mount Yangmaiyong, and Mount Xiannuoduoji, as well as high-altitude lakes like Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake. You will witness breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and picturesque meadows, making it a truly memorable experience. In the late afternoon, you will return to Daocheng. Note: As there will be a lot of walking involved during the visit to the Yading Nature Reserve, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes. Hotels: Overnight in Daocheng.

Day 6 Daocheng to Litang to Yajiang to Xinduqiao Car

After breakfast, proceed to Xinduqiao with a long car journey ahead. Take pleasure in the natural landscapes and capture some photographs throughout the journey. Reach Xinduqiao in the late afternoon, which is a well-known village in western Sichuan, particularly among photographers as it's a photographer's paradise.

Accommodation: Overnight in Xinduqiao.

Day 7 Xinduqiao to Chengdu

After breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye to the beautiful landscapes and unforgettable experiences of the west Sichuan province. You will start your journey back to Chengdu, where you will be dropped off at the location of your choice, marking the end of our service. During the drive, you can relax and reminisce about the sights, sounds, and tastes of your journey through western Sichuan.     2.  Meals mentioned will be provided in local restaurants, including one local beverage per meal.

    3.  Transfers and ground transportation will be provided by car, minibus, or bus, depending on the size of the group.

    4.  Hotel accommodation will be based on double occupancy, with either a double bed or two single beds. Breakfast is included.

    5.  Knowledgeable English-speaking guide to accompany you during all visits as mentioned.

    6.  Accident insurance coverage during the trip in China is included.

Hotel: On the route of the western Sichuan journey (passing through Dada, Xinduqiao, and Moxi), you will find comfortable hotels with private bathrooms, hot water, and essential amenities. While these hotels may not be luxurious, they are clean and have a charming atmosphere. In recent years, there have been significant improvements in hotel accommodations in line with the development in Sichuan.


Transport: During the tours, we ensure reliable internal transportation with well-maintained vehicles and experienced drivers.


Change and Cancellation Policy

  1. 15 days before commencement of services: 100% refund.

  2. 7 to 14 days before commencement of services: charge 10% of the tour price.

  3. 2 to 6 days before commencement of services: charge 50% of the tour price.

  4. Within 2 days of commencement of services or no-show travelers: charge 100% of the tour price.

  5. After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your willingness, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
