Hong Kong Airport, also known as Chek Lap Kok Airport, is the main international gateway to the city, located on the island of Chek Lap Kok. As one of the largest and busiest hubs in the world, it is known for its modern facilities, smooth immigration procedures, and excellent signage. With a wide range of shops, restaurants, and passenger services, it offers a comfortable and convenient experience for travelers from around the globe.

The distance from Hong Kong International Airport (Chek Lap Kok Airport) to Hong Kong city center (Central district) is approximately 35 kilometers (22 miles).

By car, the journey typically takes 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic. For airport drop-off, please plan your hotel departure time carefully.

What You Need to Know Before Booking

What type of vehicle will be used?

The most commonly used vehicle is the 7-seater Toyota Alphard, which can accommodate up to 6 passengers. Other options include 28-seater minibuses and 45–60-seater large coaches.

How do I meet the driver?
For 7-seater Toyota Alphard: The driver will wait for you in the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name, right outside the luggage claim area.
For minibuses or coaches: You'll need to go to the designated parking area to meet the driver. Alternatively, you can hire a guide (at an extra cost) to meet you in the arrival hall and escort you to the vehicle, avoiding confusion.

Notes: Hong Kong Airport has two arrival halls: A and B. The screen board will indicate whether your flight arrives at Exit A or B. The driver will wait for you at the corresponding exit based on this information. Please pay attention to the screen board and ensure your phone and communication tools are reachable.

What if my flight is delayed or arrives early?
For Alphard vans: The transfer is scheduled based on your actual landing time. We track your flight and arrange the driver to meet you in the arrival hall 50 minutes after landing, allowing time for immigration and baggage claim.

For bus/coach transfers: These are booked by the hour. The driver and vehicle will arrive at the scheduled time. If your flight is delayed, a surcharge may apply for extra waiting time (60 minutes of complimentary waiting is provided after landing).

What is the luggage allowance?

Toyota Alphard (when fully occupied):

• 6 pieces of 22-inch luggage, or

• 4 pieces of 24-inch luggage, or

• 2 pieces of 28-inch luggage

Coaches:

• A 53-seat coach can hold up to 40 pieces of luggage (each under 26 inches) in its trunk. Trunk size varies with the bus size.

What's the best option for a 14-person group?
Cost comparison: The cost of one minibus is roughly equivalent to three Alphard vans. Each Alphard can carry up to 6 passengers.

Convenience comparison: Alphard vans are more flexible:

• The driver can wait for you in the arrival hall.

• Drivers assist with loading/unloading luggage.

• Most hotels in Hong Kong have limited curbside space, making Alphards easier to maneuver and park.

Recommendation: For a 14-person group, 3 Alphard vans are more suitable and convenient.

How do I contact the driver?
