What Makes Huangshan Special

The Four Wonders of Huangshan
Huangshan is famous for its ancient pine trees, unique rock formations, seas of clouds, and natural hot springs - known as the "Four Wonders." Peaks rise above the clouds, and the iconic Welcoming Pine has become a symbol of friendship, creating a living Chinese landscape painting.

Huizhou Culture in the Open Air
At the foot of the mountains are UNESCO-listed villages like Hongcun and Xidi. Their white walls, black-tiled roofs, ancestral halls, and fine wood and stone carvings offer a glimpse into Ming and Qing dynasty life and traditional merchant culture.

Inspiration for Art, East and West
Huangshan inspired classical Chinese ink landscape painting and continues to attract photographers and artists from around the world, admired across cultures.

Beyond Sightseeing: Immersive Experiences
Travel here is no longer just about hiking. Stay in heritage village guesthouses, try traditional ink or inkstone making, watch the large-scale night show "Huixiu," or join local folk activities for a deeper cultural experience.
