Guangzhou Transportation Guide for International Travelers (2026)

Guangzhou is one of China's largest transportation hubs, offering convenient international flights, high-speed rail connections, modern metro systems, and easy mobile payment options. Whether you are visiting for sightseeing, business, or the Canton Fair, getting around Guangzhou is generally smooth and tourist-friendly.

For travelers who prefer extra comfort and flexibility, private car rental with driver, airport pickup, and city transfer services are also highly recommended, especially for families, business travelers, and first-time visitors to China.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN)

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is one of China's busiest international aviation hubs, connecting Guangzhou with more than 230 destinations worldwide.

The airport currently operates Terminal 1 (T1), Terminal 2 (T2), and the newly opened Terminal 3 (T3). Always double-check your airline's terminal before departure.
