Wuyuan's attractions are spread out in three main scenic routes:
the East Route (ancient villages and flower fields), the North Route (historic architecture and landscapes), and the West Route (more untouched, natural scenery). The highlights below make trip planning easy and flexible.

Iconic Highlights

Huangling Village - A must-see in every season and the birthplace of the famous Shai Qiu (sun-drying harvests) tradition. Take the cable car up to the village, stroll along Tianjie Street, and enjoy viewpoints such as the Shai Qiu Terrace and Leixin Glass Bridge. Traditional handicraft workshops, evening light shows, forest installations, and village performances add extra charm after dark.

Jingdezhen (about 1 hour by car)

Mount Huangshan (about 1.5–2 hours by car)

Day 1: Arrive in Wuyuan. In the afternoon, visit Huangling to enjoy village views, sunset, and evening lights. Stay either on the mountain or at the foot of the hill.

Day 2: Early morning trip to Jiangling for panoramic views. In the afternoon, explore Xiaoqi or Likeng Ancient Village. In the evening, head to Wunüzhou Resort to watch the night show. Overnight in Wuyuan County town.

Day 3: Visit Sixi–Yancun or Zhangcun in the morning. In the afternoon, continue to Jingdezhen or depart via the high-speed rail station.

Getting There & Getting Around Wuyuan

High-Speed Rail (Highly Recommended): Wuyuan Station is on the Hefei–Fuzhou High-Speed Railway, with direct trains from major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, and Xiamen. Fast, comfortable, and the easiest option.

By Air: Wuyuan has no airport. The closest airports are Jingdezhen Luojia Airport, Huangshan Tunxi International Airport, and Shangrao Sanqingshan Airport. From there, transfer by high-speed train or road to Wuyuan.

Long-Distance Bus: Direct buses run from Nanchang, Jingdezhen, Huangshan, Shanghai, and Hangzhou to Wuyuan Coach Station.

Private Car: With attractions spread out, hiring a car is the most efficient option for local transport.

Spring (Mar–early Apr): Famous rapeseed flower fields.

Wuyuan County Town
The most convenient base. A wide range of hotels, good value, easy access to restaurants, transport, and the high-speed rail station.

Near Jiangling
Perfect for photographers. Close to sunrise viewpoints for misty rapeseed fields and dawn light, though accommodations are usually simpler.
