Ticket reservation notes

1.  Morning ticket entry time: 7:30-12:00; Afternoon ticket entry time: 12:00-17:00; Park closing time: 18:00.

2. Daily limit: 60,000 tickets (30,000 morning, 30,000 afternoon). Advance booking available for up to 7 days, but limited availability. Book early to secure your tickets.

3.  All visitors must make online reservations using real names. Tickets are restricted to one per person with one ID card number.

4.  The Elderly individuals aged 60 and above can enter the park without a reservation by showing their ID card or passport.

5. Please choose your visit date and morning or afternoon ticket. Arrive during your designated time slot to avoid long waits; early arrivals are not permitted.

6.  Giant Panda Museum in the park is closed on Mondays, and the Panda Tower is closed on Tuesdays, except on national holidays.

Things to know before you go.

1. Tourist centers at both entrances (West Gate & South Gate) are open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

2.  The tourist center offers free rental of convenience facilities, on-site consultation, complaint handling, free storage, and lost and found services.

3. Please help maintain public order. No pets, drones, skates, or personal/group activities that disrupt others. Dispose of trash properly and avoid treading on the grass.

4. Please follow the law. No illegal gatherings, fights, gambling, or selling goods within the park. Prohibited items include flammable materials, weapons, and smoking. Violations will face legal consequences.

5. Protect animal safety: Stay quiet, don't tease or feed animals, and maintain a safe distance from roaming and enclosed animals for their well-being.

6. In severe weather or uncontrollable natural disasters (e.g., lightning, rain, snow, hail, fog, heavy rain) or due to construction, maintenance, animal breeding, high temperatures, etc., certain park areas may temporarily close for safety reasons. Please follow posted instructions.

 

 

Travel Tips

1. Getting to Chengdu Panda Base: You can reach the Chengdu Panda Base by taking the tourist shuttle bus from locations such as Chunxi Road, Wide and Narrow Alleys, and People's Park, or by using Metro Line 3 and transferring to a tourist bus to the park.

2.  Exploring the Chengdu Panda Base: The Chengdu Panda Base is extensive and requires more than four hours of walking to fully explore.

3. Recommended Visiting Route: A classic route starting and ending at the South Gate takes about 2.5 hours: South Gate - Sub-adult Panda Enclosure - Giant Panda Cub Enclosure - Sun Nursery House - Moon Nursery House - No. 2 House for Giant Panda - Giant Panda Nursery Facilities - No. 1 House for Giant Pandas - No. 14 Enclosure - Giant Panda Museum - South Gate.

4. Panda Feeding Time: The giant pandas are fed between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM every day. Tourists interested in witnessing the keepers feeding them should make sure not to miss this time frame.

5. Popular Panda "Huahua" (花花): The most popular panda in 2023 at the Chengdu base is Huahua. Her habitat is about 500 meters from the South Gate. Simply head straight ahead if you arrive early.
