Introduction

Yuexiu Park is the largest urban park in Guangzhou and one of the city's most important historical and cultural attractions. Covering more than 860,000 square meters, the park combines beautiful lakes, ancient monuments, historical sites, museums, gardens, and scenic walking trails.

Located in the heart of Guangzhou, Yuexiu Park is best known for the famous Five Rams Statue, the symbol of Guangzhou, as well as the historic Zhenhai Tower and remnants of the ancient city wall.

History of Yuexiu Park

The park is named after Yuexiu Hill, one of the oldest and most historically significant areas in Guangzhou.

Since ancient times, Yuexiu Hill has served as an important military and administrative center. Several dynasties left their mark here, including the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

In 1927, Yuexiu Park was officially established as Guangzhou's first large public park and has since become one of the city's most beloved green spaces.

Today, it remains a popular destination for both tourists and local residents who come to exercise, relax, and enjoy nature.
