Yuanyang Rice Terraces is located in the south of Kungming, which is Known as a "land sculpture". It is built by Hani People generation after generation and formed so stunning pastoral scenery. Yuanyang Rice Terraces has been being officially acknowledged by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. Its typical and unique scenery are worth visiting.

TOUR ITINERARY

D1 Kunming – Yuanyang

Today's Highlights:

transfer to Yuanyang, visit Bada rice terraces and Qingkou Village, then watch sunset at Laohuzui.

9:00am, your tour guide picks you up in Kunming downtown (within Second Ring Road), drive to the Yuanyang Scenic Area which is one of Yunnan’s famous UNESCO World Heritage sites. (about 380 km, 6 hours)

9:00 am -5:30 pm, Enjoy a rich Chinese lunch on the way. Upon arrival, you first visit the Bada Rice Terraces, which offer a great view over the gigantic terraced valley. A visit at Qingkou Village follows – a typical local hamlet. Later, head to the rice terraces at Laohuzui where the colorful sunset can be enjoyed if the weather permits. A highly recommended stop for photographers!

5:30 pm-6:30 pm, Get dropped off at your hotel afterwards.

D2 Yuanyang – Jianshui

Today's Highlights

watch sunrise over the terraces at Duoyishu Village, visit Shengcun, then drive to Tuanshan Village and Zhu Family Garden in Jianshui

6:00 am -12:00 am, Get up very early today to witness the sunrise over the terraces at Duoyishu Village ( exact time depends on the season) and visit Sheng Village afterwards.

12:30 am-5:30 pm,After lunch break, we proceed to Jianshui (about 130 km, 3.5 hours). On the way, stop over at Tuanshan Village, which was listed as world monument of architectural heritage in 2006. Both, Jianshui and Tuanshan attract a lot of visitors from China and abroad. Before getting dropped off at the hotel, pay a visit to Zhu Family Garden in Jianshui.

5:30 pm-6:30 pm, Get dropped off at your hotel afterwards.


D3 Jianshui – Kunming

Today's Highlights:

attend a local tofu workshop, then visit Confucius Temple.

6:00 am -12:00 am, After breakfast, attend a local tofu workshop (about 30 minutes) as tofu is one of the most important food of the area. Afterwards, visit the Confucius Temple, which is the second largest of its kind in China!

12:30 am-5:30 pm, After lunch, we proceed to Kunming downtown (about 210 km, 3.5 hours), where you are dropped off again within the Second Ring Road.

5:30 pm-6:30 pm, Transfer back to Kunming. Drop off in Kunming Downtown (within Second Ring Road).

  • The daily working time for driver and tour guide during this tour is maximum 10 hours per day. Overtime working hours will be charged extra.
  • Tipping drivers and tour guides is custom in China. We recommend giving 2 – 3 USD per person per day to the driver and 4 – 5 USD per person per day to your tour guide.
  • Please only bring one small and handy day pack / hand luggage per person. Larger suitcases or backpacks cannot be taken on this day trip.

  • Children under 2-year-old accompanying the adult are charged free.
  • Children between 2-12 years old accompanying the adult are charged 75% of the normal fare under any circumstances.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that there may be many unforeseen events happen. Please note with the cancellation policy if you have to cancel your tour after booking.

For land tours only:
1. 15 days before commencement of services: 100% refund.
2. 7 to 14 days before commencement of services: charge 10% of the tour price
3. 2 to 6 days before commencement of services: charge 50% of the tour price
4. within 2 days of commencement of services or no-show travelers: charge 100% of the tour price
After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your willingness, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

If any air tickets/ train tickets /hotel booking made, all cancellation penalties imposed by the airline/ China Rail / Hotels will apply.
