Full day visit of Beijing city

Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Hutong Tour in Xicheng District, Jingshan Park (Coal Hill)

Start the tour from Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are the Forbidden City, Memorial Hall, Monument and Capital and National Museum. Then you will enter the Forbidden City through the south gate facing the square. Built from 1406 to 1420, Forbiden city is located in the the city center, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere. Exit from the north gate, drop a short visit to the Jingshan Park which is adjacent the Forbidden City covering 23 hectares (57 acres). It once was the royal garden in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty and offers nice panorama view of Forbidden City.

Sightseeing in the afternoon also includes Hutong Tour in Xicheng District. Hutong has long history dating back from the Yuan dynasty. It witness the change and develop of Beijing and showcase the normal life of the city. More than 20 alleys are well preserved in the development of modernization.

Visit the Jinshan Park to get a panoramic view of the Forbidden City. It is well worth the climb on a clear day for spectacular views of the Forbidden City and Beijing

Great Wall tour

Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall

Guide and driver will pick up you in hotel lobby, accompany you to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car). It is a about 2.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing. A cable car takes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can also view the beautiful scenery of the lake by the ferry boat instead of walk. Continue; you will discover the Garden of Virtue and Harmony (Deheyuan), the best preserved and largest palace theater extant in China, where Emperor Guangxu and Empress Dowager Cixi watched performances of the Peking opera. Chengdu to Leshan to Chengdu

Drive from Chengdu to Leshan in the morning. Leshan Giant Buddha is said to be the best one which will be on our top list today. The Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest stone Buddha in the world, which is built during the Tang Dynasty. The statue is 71 meters tall, sitting with hands resting on his knees. This is carved out of a cliff face that lies at the confluence of the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers, near the city of Leshan. It is by far the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. Later you will take cruise to have an overlook at Leshan Giant Buddha.

On the way back to Chengdu, visit Jiajiang Thousand Buddha Rock Scenic Area which is located three kilometers west of Jiajiang County, Leshan City.

After enjoy breakfast, drive to visit Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan.There are thousands of pieces of invaluable relics such as bronze ware, jade ware, gold ware, pottery, and bone ware on the exhibition, where you can get a closed look and learn more about the ancient China. Later visit Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base where you can sightsee the lovely pandas. The base was established in 1987 and opened to the public in 1995. It focuses on increasing the population of giant pandas and eventually release some of them back into the wild. Besides, the base is also home to many other endangered animals.

On the way back the downtown, visit Jinli Ancient Street, it's one of the oldest streets where you can appreciate the artifacts and try local snacks (at your own expense). Today you will visit Shuhe Village which is the earliest habitation to Naxi people. It is an extremely peaceful and unspoiled ancient town where tourists could learn more about Naxi culture.

The Former Residence of Rock in Yuhu Village: The Naxi ethnic group in southwest China's Yunnan Province has built a memorial hall in honor of Joseph F. Rock, an Austrian-American scholar who was one of the first westerners to spread the long-isolated Naxi culture worldwide.

The Mural in Baisha Village: Baisha Mural Paintings were created on the wall of the local temples. It is 400 years old and remained unrepainted and unrepaired. Paintings are kinds of Medieval European style with a mixture of Naxi culture, Mahayana Buddism, Tibetan Buddism and Taoism.

Baisha Shiguang Restaurant: The restaurant is located in Baisha Village and provides mainly Naxi cuisine along with some Chinese dishes.

Different from other ancient towns in China, its architecture, culture and art has strong characteristics of local Naxi people.

Lion Hill: Both the hill and the wooden structure called Wangulou provide good views of the Old Town and the surrounding countryside.

The Black Dragon Pool: Lijiang Jade Spring Park is only a few-minute walk away from Lijiang Old Town. The area is quite scenic with temples, pavilions, tower, Black Dragon Pool, together with a view in the distance of the snow-capped mountains.

Dali Old Town: Dali Old Town refers to the ruins of the ancient city which was once encircled by city wall. The city is located at the west of the Erhai Lake with the cangshan at backdrop. Visitors can now take nice walk through the cobble-stone street, visit old courtyard homes, cafes and shop for typical souvenirs.

Three Pagodas: Three pagodas in Dali is unique in China with extremely long history and ancient Buddhist architectures. The three independent pagodas form a symmentric triangle, visible from miles away. It is an icon of Dali and a must-see of Dali tour, especially enjoying a further walk to the back of the complex and a climb up to the building for a bird view of Dali and Erhai Lake.

ZhouCheng tie-dye family workshop: The workshop is near the Spring of Butterflies. You will learn the making process of tie-dye cloth which is one of the Bai people's traditional handcrafts.

Caihuiju Restaurant: Caihuiju Restaurant is located on Foreigners street. The restaurant features local style cuisine.

The Chaoyang Tower: The Chaoyang Tower is located in the east end of Jiangzhong Road in Jianshui. It was the east gate tower of Jianshui Town. It was built in the 22nd year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (A.D.1389). The tower has the gable and hip roof with three eaves. It’s 24.45 meters high, 26.8 meters wide and 12.31 meters deep. It was classified as the historical and cultural site under provincial protection in 1993.

Jinbian Brook: Located in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, it covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year, with many scenic spots along the way. It is famous for Jinbian Cave-which has a height of 382km and looks like a huge flying eagle. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

Bailong Sightseeing Elevator: Bailong sightseeing elevator is the highest and fastest sightseeing elevator in the world and provides a spectacular view of the Sandstone Peak Forest. It has a height of 335 meters and can carry 3,000 people an hour in the fours transparent cars. It only takes 2 minutes to travel to the top of the mountain. Tips: It usually takes 30 minutes to wait for the elevator.

Mt.Tianzishan: It is known for 4 natural spectacles - the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain,the amazing views of the rising sun,the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks.They include more than 80 natural platforms to take in the magnificent scenery.Take the cable to enjoy the views upway and relax. Jade Buddha Temple is still an active Buddhist temple with two previous statues of Buddha, carved from rare single blocks of white jade adorned with precious stones. The temple was listed in 1983 as a key Buddhist temple in the Han nationality regions by the State Council. There are many precious Buddhist classics and cultural relics in Jade Buddha Temple, which attract many tourists come to visit.

Jiangnan Silk Shop and Workshop: See how silk is produced from the cocoons of silk worms, and turned into the beautiful fabric we all know and love. Silk filled duvets are excellent value, and the showroom offers everything from small souvenirs to larger items.
