Arrival in Beijing

Beijing is the capital of People's Republic of China with very convenient flight connections to all the major cities in the world.

If arrival by international flight, you will be landing at Beijing Capital Airport. Guide will hold a name sign out of luggage claim area. Then transfer you to hotel to check in. Recover from flight journey and prepare for the trip.

Beijing is a diverse cultural center, with historical relics, art and museums throughout the city. Make the most experience of Beijing during your stay.

Full day visit of Beijing city

Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, the Hutong

Start the tour from Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are the Forbidden City, Memorial Hall, Monument and Capital and National Museum. Then you will enter the Forbidden City through the south gate facing the square. Built from 1406 to 1420, Forbidden City is located in the city center, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere.

Exit from the north gate, drop a short visit to the Jingshan Park which is adjacent the Forbidden City covering 23 hectares (57 acres). It once was the royal garden in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty and offers nice panorama view of Forbidden City.

Sightseeing in the afternoon also includes Hutong Tour in Xicheng District. Hutong has long history dating back from the Yuan dynasty. It witness the change and develop of Beijing and showcase the normal life of the city. More than 20 alleys are well preserved in the development of modernization.

Great Wall tour

Activities: Mutianyu Great Wall, Temple of Heaven

Pay a morning visit to Temple of Heaven, which was built for worship purpose. Another UNESCO –listed site today is the thrilling Great Wall of China. We choose the Mutianyu section, 70km northeastwards of Beijing City, which has well preserved from its original appearance. The 2250 meters wall has unique characters like the watch towers, and offers breath-taking scenery from the top. Visitor's facilities are well developed well.

Beijing to Xian via high speed train

Activities: Summer Palace

Spend some more time discovering Beijing, before taking train (G87 Dep 14:00 - Arr 18:25 ) to Xian.

The last stop in Beijing is Summer Palace or Yiheyuan, which is a good combination of natural lakes, hills with artificial pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges. In summer days, a boat trip gives very special feeling of this former royal garden.

Afterwards, take train from Beijing to Xian.

Terracotta Army

Activities: Terracotta Army, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda

After breakfast, drive about 40km to The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, which is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang. It is discovered in 1974 by local farmers in Lintong District, Xian. It has been a big draw for all visitors since it was unearthed.

When back to the city center, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. This Temple complex has several large halls with some great Buddhist statues and murals.

Xian to Shanghai via overnight train

Activities: the Ancient City Wall, Shanxi History Museum, Muslim Street

Spend a day among the sights in the inner city circled by the Ancient City Wall, which is also the city's popular attraction, representing one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls. Visitors can enjoy a bike ride, or take electronic cars on the wall to see more of the city.

Continue a visit to Shanxi History Museum, which is said to be the history of China. It is one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China. Four major galleries in large, Tang-style buildings house a vast and impressive collection. Your knowledgeable guide will direct you to the most important events in history.

In the afternoon, enjoy a leisure walk to Muslim Street, a community of local Hui Minority people.

Take overnight train No. Z94 (Dep 17:04 - Arr 07:51) to Shanghai. Guide will see you off at train station and brief you the travel tips onboard.

Shanghai to Guilin via flight

Activities: Shanghai Museum, the French concession region

Discover The Shanghai Museum, rebuilt at its current location in 1996, which is considered one of China's first world-class modern museums. It is one of the most incredible museum in China housing more than 120, 000 pieces of collections.

Move to the western part of Shanghai, and visit a venerable and famous Buddhist temple, Jade Buddha Temple. The old temple was built in 1882 to keep two jade Buddha statues.

Walk along the French concession region, an interesting place with old European buildings in shady avenues to the cafes and restaurants.

Take afternoon flight (FM9331 Dep 17:25 - Arr 19:30) from Shanghai to Guilin.

Li River Cruise

Activities: Li River Cruise

Guilin is located in the southern parts of China. It has long been renowned for its scenery of karst topography and is one of China's most popular tourist destinations. The Li River, rice terraces fields and the city water system are on the top-list for all visitors.

After breakfast, we will drive 40 minutes to the Zhujiang Pier for a river boat down the river from Guilin to Yangshuo. The Li River cruise is over 83 kilometers long and is estimated to take four to five hours depending on the water level. The Stalactite-like peaks, water buffalos, rice paddies, and fishing boat make it very picturesque and different from the concrete metropolis.

Guilin to Zhangjiajie via flight

Activities: yangshuo villages

Spend whole day discovering Yangshuo. Ride a bike on street and go further to the villages and along the Yulong River, largest branch of Li River. Guide will accompany you along the way. You can drop a visit to one or two houses and have a close touch of the local life. En route, challenge yourself to climb up the Moon Hill if interested in.

Drive back to Guilin International airport and board flight to Zhangjiajie. Meet your guide at flight arrival in Zhangjiajie.

Zhangjiajie National Park

Spend whole day discover Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, set up in 1982, which is recognized as the first national forest park in china. It is inscribed on UNESCO list since 2004. One of the standing pillars had been renamed" Avatar Hallelujah Mountain" that seen in the eponymous film.

Drop in Jinbian Brook as well. It covers a distance of 7.5k m from north to south. The brook is limpid through the year, with many scenic spots along the way. It is famous for Jinbian Cave-which has a height of 382k m and looks like a huge flying eagle.

Another site in the park is Huangshi Fort, 1080 meter above the sea level, which has the most of marvelous view of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It is the best platform to view the beautiful scenes of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
