Great Wall tour

Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Tombs

Highlight your tour today is a visit to the Great Wall of China. We choose the Mutianyu section, 70km northeastwards of Beijing City, which has well preserved from its original appearance. The 2250 meters wall has unique characters like the watch towers, and offers breath-taking scenery from the top. Visitor's facilities are well developed well including cable car, toboggan and restaurant.

En route, you will also visit Sacred Road, an attractive tree-lined walk which leads to the Ming Tombs, and Changling tomb, the largest and the best-preserved of these tombs. It is the tomb of emperor Yongle, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

Full day Beijing city tour

Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Hutong

Start the tour from Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are the Forbidden City, Memorial Hall, Monument and Capital and National Museum. Then you will enter the Forbidden City through the south gate facing the square. Built from 1406 to 1420, Forbiden city is located in the the city center, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere.

Exit from the north gate, drop a short visit to the Jingshan Park which is adjacent the Forbidden City covering 23 hectares (57 acres). It once was the royal garden in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty and offers nice panorama view of Forbidden City.

After lunch, continue visit to Hutong area in Xicheng District. Hutong has long history dating back from the Yuan dynasty. It witness the change and develop of Beijing and showcase the normal life of the city. More than 20 alleys are well preserved in the development of modernization.

Beijing to Xian via high speed train

Activities: Summer Palace, Lama Temple

Spend morning enjoying the Lama Temple. It is also called Yonghe Temple, once the palace of Yongzheng Emperor. It is now the biggest and most well preserved Lama Temple.

Then comes to the Summer Palace, the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China with a long history, which has long been recognized as 'The Museum of Royal Gardens'. The Palace is an amazing complex of buildings, which serves as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. And you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake by the ferry boat which is available from every late April to early October.

Afterwards, take high-speed train (Train No. G87 (Beijing West Railway Station - Xian North Railway Station) Dep 14:00 - Arr 18:25 ) from Beijing west station to Xian.

Xian had been the capital of 13 dynasties and kingdoms in China's history. Today the city is flourishing again and still maintains a lot of its old charms. Most of the hotels marketed at visitors are located in the inner city, once circled by the ancient City Wall. It is very convenient for you to enjoy a walk to the surrounding streets.

Visit of Terra-cotta Army

Activities: The Terracotta Warriors and Horses

After breakfast, drive about 40km to The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, which is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang. It is discovered in 1974 by local farmers in Lintong District, Xian. It has been a big draw for all visitors since it was unearthed.

When back to the city in the afternoon, have a leisure tour to the Ancient City Wall, an ancient capital of China, which was represent one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls.

Xian to Guilin via flight

Activities: Shanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Great Mosque

Explore sights in the inner city area, including Shanxi History Museum, which is said to be the best of its kind in China. It has four major galleries in total, housing and beautifully displaying a vast and impressive collections. For people interested in the fresco can pay extra for a private visit.

Then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in the 7th century to house the Buddhist materials. It is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. The Temple complex has several large halls with some great Buddhist statues and murals.

Depending on flight schedule, you may drop a visit to the Great Mosque, one of the largest Islamic mosques in China, which covers 12,000 square meters with the pavilions, halls and gateways. This is an active place of worship for the Hui descendants of Silk Road traders and travelers.

Take evening flight to Guilin, a well-known picturesque city in southern China.

Tour of Longji Rice Terraces Fileds

Activities: Longji Rice Terraces

After breakfast, drive 100km northwest to Longsheng and spend 3-4 hours discovering the ribbon-like Longji Terraced Field. It is ingenious irrigation method making the best use of the scarce arable land and water resources in this mountainous area.

Highlights of the tour includes short hikes along the fields, fabulous overlooking view from the top; minority customs of local Zhuang and Yao people.

Guilin to Yangshuo

Activities: Yangshuo, Li River

After breakfast, we will drive 40 minutes to the Zhujiang Pier for a river boat down the river from Guilin to Yangshuo. The Li River cruise is over 83 kilometers long and is estimated to take four to five hours depending on the water level. The Stalactite-like peaks, water buffalos, rice paddies, and fishing boat make it very picturesque and different from the concrete metropolis. Li River has become one of China's top tourist destinations.

Stroll the West Street and you could have coffee in a small bar. Could also forward Yangshuo hotel and have a rest where enjoy the peaceful countryside. Watch Impression of Liusanjie after dinner.

Yangshuo

Activities: Yangshuo villages, Bamboo Rafting

Spend whole day discovering Yangshuo. Ride a bike on street and go further to the villages and along the Yulong River, largest branch of Li River. Guide will accompany you along the way. You can drop a visit to one or two houses and have a close touch of the local life.

This raft drift is one part of the Dragon-meeting River drift. Along this beautiful cruise, you get in touch with the charming water when relaxing on the raft. And you can see a scroll painting of exquisitely looking rocks and large pieces of paddy field. Then challenge yourself to climb up the Moon Hill if interested in.

Guilin-Chongqing

Take morning flight to Chongqing MF8403(0950-1050). On arrival, be met and transferred to the city center. You visit the Three Gorges Museum. It is very impressive with exhibit of many artifacts from the Yangtze area, history about the Yangtze and construction of the Three Gorges Dam.

Standing next is the hall of the people, it is worth a visit before going a Yangtze River cruise. You will also visit Goose Neck Park and Panda Room in Chongqing Zoo.

Be sure to embark before 20:00 as your luxury ship departs the picturesque Chongqing at 21:00. Enjoy the side trips and various activities that Victoria offers to you in the next 3 days.

Today's Activities: After coffee hours and breakfast, you may enjoy the first shore excursion to Fengdu known as "Ghost City" which consists of a large complex of shrines, temples and monasteries dedicated to the afterlife (optional). From 16:00 to 18:00, shore excursion to Shibaozhai - a 9 floor pavilion leaning against the river side of the hill. It has been considered as a pearl in China's architecture history. Captain's welcome party starts at 6:20pm, and then followed the buffet dinner and performance.

Drive about 1.5 h arrive Zhujiajiao, an ancient town located in the Qingpu District of Shanghai. It was established about 1,700 years ago.
