Tiananmen Square is one of the largest public city squares in the world, covering a total area of 440,000 square meters. The place has witnessed some of the most important moments in China's history since its completion in Qing Dynasty. It represents authority and power, with unrivaled significance. Standing on, its four sides are all important political and cultural sites including the Forbidden City, Great Hall of the People, the National Museum.
The Forbidden City, or Imperial Palace, was home to 24 Emperors for almost 500 years from Qing Dynasty to Ming Dynasty. The complex is well preserved with 980 buildings over 720,000 m2. Great squares, halls, gates, gardens and courtyards form a 'city within a city'. Since 1925, this imperial palace has been turned into a museum exhibiting extensive collections of artifacts and artwork. During visiting the colorful architectural art of the Forbidden City, we will also watch the display in the Palace Museum where a lot of treasures have been keeping.
Hutong has long history dating back from the Yuan dynasty. It has witnessed the change and development of Beijing. Many of these traditional neighborhoods had been destroyed in the development of modernization. The most notably those around the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower and close to the Forbidden City are well preserved. Simply wandering around or taking a rickshaw tour to navigate Hutong and stop anywhere to take photos, you will be surprised by the courtyards, local market, local customs by getting to the deepest Hutong alleys.
Jingshan Hill, a former imperial garden with beautiful surroundings, is located in the north of the Forbidden City and covers an area of 23 hectares. Jingshan Park is known for its diverse collection of peony in 150 brands, covering eight color series and nine flower shapes. Standing on top of the hill, you can overlook a panoramic view of the Forbidden City. Here is also an excellent place for local elderly people gathering.

The Terracotta Army, an underground construction and terracotta figures, is located in Lintong County. It is referred to as "the eighth wonder of the world", which is the largest underground military museum in the world and has been listed in "the world heritage list" by UNESCO since 1987.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located in Xi'an, about 4 kilometers from the downtown of the city. It is a famous spots to tourists. It was a five-story construction and then it was built with a seven-story structure. This pagoda is an architectural marvel. It was built with layers of bricks but without any cement in between. It reflects the people's wisdom and talents of ancient China. It is a well-known ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists and regarded as the symbol of the ancient capital of Xi 'an. Standing on the top of it, you can get a panoramic view of Xi'an and the garden around.

Shaanxi History Museum is located in the south suburb of Xi'an. It is one of the four largest museums in China, whose architecture and design are complex in the Tang Dynasty. It houses over 300,000 items and most of them are nation's treasures. It is reputed as "the pearl of the ancient capital, treasure house of Huaxia".
The well-preserved walls, ramparts, gates and watchtowers are great evidence of the city's history. The Wall is composed of a series of military installations including the moat, drawbridge, gate building, Jianlou Tower, Zhenglou Tower (the main building), Jiaolou Tower (turret), Dilou Tower (watchtower), Nv'er Qiang (parapet) and crenel. Complete City Wall, together with the moat and Around-Xi'an Park, has become a must-see scenic spot of Xi'an city.
Muslim Street (Huimin Jie) has a long history. It is an old street paved with bluestone plate, both sides of which stand a row of muslin restaurants decorated in Ming and Qing Dynasties' styles. This is the right place to taste Xian snacks, the food here is extremely delicious, such as nuts, buckwheat noodles, stewed mutton soup, persimmon cakes, multi-layered fried cakes and so on. Last November, Tina tailored 7 days trip for us to Shanghai, Suzhou, Huangshan and end in Hangzhou. It was a great trip and we both enjoy a lot. All guides were very nice people and looked after us very well and knowledge of English was very well.
For the large pieces that you will not use them on the mountain, we will keep it for you at the hotel in Tunxi city that you stay for the first night. Then you take along the necessities onto the mountain.
