Activities: The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace with the Garden of Virtue and Harmony

Start the tour from Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are the Forbidden City, Memorial Hall, Monument and Capital and National Museum.

Then you will enter the Forbidden City through the south gate facing the square. It's the Imperial Palace, home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. The palace complex exemplifies traditional Chinese palatial architecture, where you can also sightseeing extensive ancient precious collections.

Later, discovering the Summer Palace which is the best preserved imperial garden in the world and the largest of its kind in existence of China. The Palace is an amazing complex of buildings, which serves as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. You will discover the Garden of Virtue and Harmony (Deheyuan), the best preserved and largest palace theater extant in China, where Emperor Guangxu and Empress Dowager Cixi watched performances of the Peking opera. This garden has one of the three most famous opera theaters of the Qing Dynasty.

Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall ( with round way cable car ), Temple of Heaven

Guide will accompany you to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, it's located in Huairou County 70 km northeast of central Beijing, which is a section of the Great Wall of China. It is built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi and connected with Jiankou in the west and Lianhuachi in the east. A cable car takes you to a good section, where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views. Later, back to visit Temple of Heaven which is a complex of religious building, it's built in 1420 for the emperors to make sacrificial ceremonies and praying for harvests. It is now also a place where local people dance, practice Taichi and various kinds of exercise.

After your arrival, guide will show you to visit Longmen Grottoes which is 13 kilometers away to the west of Luoyang, it's one of the four largest grottoes in China. Live cultural relics lie amid green mountains and serpentine rivers. As early as 1961, Longmen Grottoes had been authorized by the central government of PRC as a key national cultural relic protection unit. It was authorized in 1982 by central government as one of the 44 National Parks of China. In 2000, it was enlisted into the List of World Heritage.

Then come to visit White Horse Temple which is regarded as the cradle land of Buddhism in China. It lies about 20 kilometers to the east of Luoyang city, Henan province. In history, highly accomplished Buddhist monks from China, even world renowned Buddhist monks from abroad used to pay visits to White Horse Temple in pursuit of Buddhism inspirations and wisdom; it was thereby also called the 'Home of Sakyamuni' or the 'Court for Ancestors'.

Drive to Shaolin Temple and Pagoda Forest (including Shaolin Kungfu Show). This temple is shrouded in legend and mystery. The origin of martial arts and kung fu is part of the mystique of Shaolin Temple and the Shaolin monks. This is probably the most famous temple in China, not only because of its long history and its role in Chinese Buddhism, but also because of its martial arts or Wushu. You will learn Kung Fu here for two hours, you’ll learn special Kung Fu skills such as grappling, wrestling, disjointing and techniques for attacking vital parts of the body.

Activities: The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Big Wild Goose Pagoda

In the morning, visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is recognized one of "the eight wonders of the world", which is the largest underground military museum in the world and has been listed in "the world heritage list" by UNESCO since 1987.

In the afternoon, visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. The Pagoda was built to store the scriptures and Buddhist relics the hierarch Xuanzang brought from India.

Guide will show you to sightseeing the Ancient City Wall which once was the fortification encircles the old Xian City. It is considered as a landmark of Xian and one of the top sights for visitors. When ascending to the top, you can have great view of the old inner city and the modern outer city. You can also experience a bike ride for extra miles on the wall when weather permits.

Lanzhou

Activities: Cruise from Liujiaxia Gorge to Bingling Temple( fast boat), Bingling Temple, Zhongshan Iron Bridge

Today you will take a cruise from Liujiaxia Gorge to visit Bingling temple which is famous for stone carving and were built during the Western Qin, North Wei, Sui, Tang, and Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing dynasties (between the 3rd and 18th centuries). They are highly valued for their contribution to research into the history of Chinese painting, and the spread of Buddhism during that time. From June (sometimes as late as July) to October, tourist boats depart daily from the dam to Bingling temple. During winter the water level is too low for boats, and there is no road access.

Then visit Zhongshan Iron Bridge which is renowned as the "first bridge on the Yellow River". It was constructed in 1907 during Qing Dynasty with the help of a Germany businessman. In 1942, the bridge was re-named Zhongshan Bridge to commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen.

After your arrival, guide will accompany you to visit the Grand Buddha Temple, China’s largest indoor reclining Buddha, which is located in the southwestern corner of the Zhangye city. The largest indoor reclining Buddha of China – the Nirvan Buddha lies in this temple, which was built in Western Hsia period (1098). It is recorded that the premier of Western Hsia once discovered a Buddha covered by a bluish-green tile, thus the Grand Buddha Temple was initially built. Then visit Mati Temple which is located in the foot of Linsong Mountain and riverside of Mati River. It's a national cultural relics protection unit, candidate of the Silk Road for the declaration of World Cultural Heritage, and is tourist destination integrating grotto art, Buddhist culture, natural scenery, Yugurs and Tibetan style.

Sunan Ice Ditch Danxia is an important part of Zhangye Danxia national geological park. It is the most typical Danxia landform in China's arid region, and it is also one of the most complete and exotic Danxia landforms in China. It is regarded as "the first wonder of the world" . Then continue to discover the beauty of Zhangye Danxia landforms, it is really unusual. Because the color of the stones is as attractive as a rainbow. And the color of the formation of all is just like the nature of the magic, without a trace of manual intervention.

Today you will visit the Jiayuguan Pass(including Great Walls Museum) which is the most magnificent and best-preserved pass among over a thousand Great Wall passes. It's regarded as "First Pass Under Heaven" . The adjacent Great Wall Museum is full of artifacts tracing the history of the world's longest wall. Then visit the Great Wall on the Cliff ( Overhanging Great Wall ), the wall of which looks like a magnificent painting hanging over the cliff. It is also an important part of the defense network of Jiayuguan.

Jiayuguan to Dunhuang

Activities: Weijin Tomb, Our guide and driver will escort you from Jiayuguan to Dunhuang, The Singing Sand Mountains and Crescent Spring

In the morning, visit the Plundered Tombs of the Wei and Jin which is 15 kilometers northeast of Jiayuguan, there are over 1,400 tombs which were built during the Wei and Jin dynasties (between the 3rd and 5th century). They feature brick wall paintings showing various social activities of the times. Our guide and driver will escort you from Jiayuguan to Dunhuang, then visit the Singing Sand Mountains and Crescent Spring which is an oasis in a desert, surrounded by the Singing Sand Mountains. The spring's name derives from the crescent-shaped lake formed by the spring water between two huge sand dunes. Although the area is very dry, the pool doesn't dry up as one might expect.

Turpan

Activities: Gaochang Ruins, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, Pass through the Flaming Mountain, The Karez Wells

In the morning, visit Gaochang Ruins, "the King City'. It was founded during the first century B.C. and abandoned during the 15th century, an important point on the Silk Road.Ascending a height to enjoy a distant view, you can see the whole city in a plane shape of an irregular square, which is divided into three parts the exterior city, interior city and the palace city. The total area is about two million square meters.

Then come to visit Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves, which is the rock-cut building with the most caves and frescos contents at most in Turpan area. It is located on the west cliffs of the Wood Valley of the Flame Mountain, 45 kilometers away from Turpan city. The history of the Caves is more early than Dunhuang but unfortunately that most murals were damaged by nature or by man-made.

Pass through the Flaming Mountain, the hottest place in China, overshadow the cradle of the Turpan ancient civilization and oasis agriculture. They provide a spectacular backdrop to the oases and scenery of the Turpan area, and have given rise to many legends and stories, such as the classic "Journey to the West".

The Karez Wells is located adjacent to Turpan, the System of which is a underwater irrigation system, over 2,000 years ago during the Han dynasty the basic shape was already formed, which is considered to be one of the three great ancient projects in China. These systems are still maintained and functioning today. The famous fruit and vineyards of these hot, dry desert communities owe their existence to the Karez wells.

In the morning, visit the Ruins of the Ancient City of Jiaohe, one of the most ancient architectural sites in the world which is hidden in Yarnaz Valley. It was built by the ancient Cheshi people in the Qin Dynasty and the Han Dynasty.The city, situated along the Silk Road, played a pivotal role in the economic communication between Western and Eastern countries. Then visit Suleiman Minaret which is also known as Sugong Tower, it is the biggest ancient tower existing in Xinjiang and the only ancient Islamic minaret in the country. It is located 2 kilometers southeast of Turpan's center.

In the afternoon, visit Tuyogou Village and Tuyugou Canyon, Tuyoq Village is an ancient oasis-village with a history more than 1,000 years in the Taklamakan desert. the Tuyugou Great Canyon is the canyon with the longest culture and the most majestic natural landscapes.

In the morning, visit amazing Kizil Thousand-Buddha Caves which is one of the Four Grottoes in China and the earliest Buddhist art treasure trove in China. There are 236 caves preserved here, among them, the cave system is more complete and the mural remains more than a third.

In the afternoon, visit the Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountains, it's magnificent and Reddish-brown rock has been etched by the wind of nature for millions of years.

In the morning, visit Grand Kuqa Mosque which is the second biggest mosque in Xinjiang, first built in the 17th century, but after the burnt down it was rebuilt in 1931. The great praying hall, which can accommodate 1000 prayers, is supported by 88 pillars, embellished with carved designs and in many colors, a fine example of Uygur architecture. Later, visit Takelamagan Desert which is regarded as the world's second largest shifting-sand desert. It's one of the largest sandy deserts in the world which covers an area of 270,000 km2 of the Tarim Basin, 1,000 km long and 400 km wide.

In the morning, visit Id Kah Mosque which is one of the largest and busiest in China. As you stroll under the trees in the pleasant courtyards, you glimpse the strength and care of the local community. At midday on Fridays around 10,000 people will gather to pray and study the Koran, and prayer 5 times/day on other days. Then visit Abakh Khoja Tomb, it is a tiled mausoleum holding the tomb of Abakh Khoja, who is a revered sufi preacher and political leader in the 17th century. There are 58 other tombs remaining of the original 72, including that of 'the Fragrant Concubine', a descendant of Abakh Khoja ,who was so loved by the Emperor Qianlong that he even built her a special Uighur style house in the Forbidden City. This is a must visit place for tourist in Kashgar .

In the afternoon, visit Kashgar Old Town where you can explore the maze of narrow streets in the oldest residential area of Kashgar. Houses were originally built along a natural slope, and extended over the years with many streets either fully or half-covered. Traditional Uighur life continues here in time-honoured fashion. Visit local families, see potteries, bakeries, embroidery, and local skills. Walking in Zhiren Street which is an old street with an amazing range of goods being crafted for sale by hand , from strictly utilitarian cookware to exotic musical instruments. There's not much light industry in Kashgar, so everything is hand-made or imported from a very distant place. You will marvel at that copper, metal, porcelain, woodwork, jewellery and other goods can be seen to be made. Later, viist Bazaar which is an ancient market. There are wonderful, offerings of dried fruit and delicacies, clothes, shoes, leather, textiles, rugs and carpets as well as scarves, souvenirs etc. Bazaar especially Sunday Bazaar is a very interesting place so many foreigners'main purpose in Kashgar is to visit the Bazaar.

Activities: Lake Karakuli

Karakuli Lake is a sparking glacial lake located at the foot of “the Father of Glaciers” – Muztagata Mountains. A railway connnecting China with Pakistan goes by the lake. The lake is famous for its beautiful scenery and clarity. Colors of its water range from light to dark under reflection.
