The Stone Forest is a major sight in Kunming area. With only some 80km southeast of the city, it is a worthwhile stop for a day tour from Kunming. We meet at hotel lobby and drive through the mountains in 1.5 hours to the Stone Park. In the area of 350 square kilometers, there are various shapes of karst landscape that were formed due to the millions of years’ movement of the Earth. The Stone Forest area is the home to the Sani people. Their colorful embroidery and dances, combined with the natural scenery, will surely leave a deep impression on you. Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant.
When the tour ends, transfer back to your hotel or train station if you have booked transport to next destination.
