Jingshan Park, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Baigongfang Pearl Market

For the first day of visit, you will have a full day tour start from 9 am to the Tiananmen Square, which is the largest city square in the world. From there, enter for the Forbidden City, an imperial palace between 1420 and 1911. When exist from the north gate, continue heading to Jingshan Park, where you can have a bird view of the palace.

Lunch will be at local restaurant. Following lunch, we will head for the Temple of Heaven, which is a complex of Taoist building visited by the Emperors in the past to worship.

Sacred Way, Changling tomb, The Mutianyu Great Wall

A day visit to Mutianyu Great Wall and attractions en route. Mutianyu is the less-crowded section and is about 1.5-2 hours away from downtown Beijing. The wall has round trip cable car and toboggan. Many visitors still like to walk up and have a different experience.

Lunch is at local restaurant on the way. Then drive to Changling and Sacred Road nearer to the city. An option tour to Shahe Cloisonne Factory is arranged in the afternoon. The day visit usually lasts 6 to 8 hours, after that you will be brought back to your hotel.

Beijing Olympic Green, Summer Palace, 798 Art District

Your guide meet you 9 am at hotel lobby and start a day to appreciate old and new Beijing. The Summer Palace was a retreat for imperial families. Spend 2-3 hours to appreciate delicate pavilions, gardens and corridors.

Following the lunch at local restaurant, you will head to the Olympic Park, which was built for the 2008 Olympic Game. Then continue to the 798 Art District. It is the first art gallery specialized in photography in China.

Beijing to Chengde

Chengde Summer Palace

Cover some 4 hours journey from Beijing to Chengde and overnight there. After lunch, visit Chengde Summer Palace in the north of the city. It is the largest royal garden in China built as a retreat for the emperors in Qing Dynasty.

Chengde to Beijing

Xumi Fushou Temple, Putuozongcheng Temple

Experience Buddhist culture in the morning at the Xumi Fushou Temple and Putuozongcheng Temple which are respectively imitation of Tashilhunpo Monastery and Potala Palace in Tibet. After lunch at local restaurant, drive back to Beijing and get ready for departure next day.
