Beijing is a historical city with many relics and ancient architectures. This classical one-day tour will show you to explore the ancient Chinese architectures and experience the former life of local residents.



  • No shopping tour with private guide and van.
  • Pick-up and drop-off hotel or personal address is supposed to be in the city. Then the visiting order may change according to your location or traffic conditions.
  • Service time is around 8 hours. But the departure time can be a bit earlier or later on your request.

Tour starts from your hotel around 8:30 with private pickup. Then have a whole day visit to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Beihai Park and Hutong. Lunch will be arranged at well selected local restaurant.

Tiananmen Square is the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are all important political and cultural sites including the Forbidden City, Great Hall of the People, National Museum and more.

The Forbidden City or Imperial Palace, was home to 24 Emperors for almost 500 years from Qing Dynasty to Ming Dynasty. The complex is well preserved with 980 buildings over 720,000 m2. Great squares, halls, gates, gardens and courtyards form a 'city within a city'. Since 1925, this imperial palace has been turned into a museum exhibiting extensive collections of artifacts and artwork.

Beihai Park locates at the center of Beijing, behind the Forbidden City. It is now one of the best preserved royal gardens with nearly one thousand years' history.

After lunch (at 12:00), in the afternoon you will visit Hongtong. Hutong exemplifies real life of ordinary people in Beijing. You will navigate the Hutong easily with a rickshaw to courtyards, local market, Primary school and have a close touch to the local alleys. At the end of the tour at around 4:00pm, you will be drived back to hotel.

Hutong has long history dating back from the Yuan dynasty. It witness the change and develop of Beijing and showcase the normal life of the city. Many of these traditional neighborhoods had been destroyed in the development of modernization. Thanksfully, the most notably those around the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower and close to the Forbidden City are well preserved. Simply wandering around or taking a rickshaw tour to navigate Hutong and stop anywhere to take photos, you will be surprised by the courtyards, local market, local customs by getting to the deepest Hutong alleys.

  • Physical rating of the trip: the trip involves light walking and hiking that is suitable for most fitness levels. For all who are able to walk without the aid of another person, climb 3-4 flights of stairs, carry their own belongs at a minimum, would be able to complete the tour pleasantly.

2. 7 to 14 days before commencement of services: charge 10% of the tour price
3. 2 to 6 days before commencement of services: charge 50% of the tour price
4. within 2 days of commencement of services or no-show travelers: charge 100% of the tour price
After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your willingness, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

If any air tickets/ train tickets /hotel booking made, all cancellation penalties imposed by the airline/ China Rail / Hotels will apply.
