Great Wall tour

Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall, the Ming Tombs

Highlight your tour today is a visit to the Great Wall of China. We choose the Mutianyu section, 70km northeastwards of Beijing City, which has well preserved from its original appearance. The 2250 meters wall has unique characters like the watch towers, and offers breath-taking scenery from the top. Visitor's facilities are well developed well including cable car, toboggan and restaurant.

En route, you will also visit Sacred Road, an attractive tree-lined walk which leads to the Ming Tombs, and Changling tomb, the largest and the best-preserved of these tombs. It is the tomb of emperor Yongle, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

Full day Beijing city tour

Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Temple of Heaven

Start the tour from Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are the Forbidden City, Memorial Hall, Monument and Capital and National Museum. Then you will enter the Forbidden City through the south gate facing the square. Built from 1406 to 1420, Forbiden city is located in the the city center, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere.

Exit from the north gate, drop a short visit to the Jingshan Park which is adjacent the Forbidden City covering 23 hectares (57 acres). It once was the royal garden in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty and offers nice panorama view of Forbidden City.

After lunch, continue visit the Temple of Heaven built in 1420 for the emperors to make sacrificial ceremonies and praying for harvests. It is a complex of religious building.

Beijing to Xian via high speed train

Activities: Summer Palace

Spend morning enjoying the Summer Palace, the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China with a long history, which has long been recognized as 'The Museum of Royal Gardens'. The Palace is an amazing complex of buildings, which serves as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. And you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake by the ferry boat which is available from every late April to early October.

Then enjoy the Lama temple, a living Tibetan Buddhist Temple out of Tibet area.

Afterwards, take high-speed train (Train No. G87 (Beijing West Railway Station - Xian North Railway Station) Dep 14:00 - Arr 18:25 ) from Beijing west station to Xian.

Xian had been the capital of 13 dynasties and kingdoms in China's history. Today the city is flourishing again and still maintains a lot of its old charms. Most of the hotels marketed at visitors are located in the inner city, once circled by the ancient City Wall. It is very convenient for you to enjoy a walk to the surrounding streets.

Terra cotta Army

Activities: Terra cotta Army, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Today you will explore Xian, the oldest of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, having held the position under several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history. Drive about 37k m to The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, discovered in 1974 by local farmers in Lintong District, Xian, which is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang. This is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE.

Back to the city center, continue visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is built in the 7th century to house the Buddhist materials. It is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. The Temple complex has several large halls with some great Buddhist statues and murals.

Xian city visit

Activities: Shanxi History Museum, Ancient City Wall, the Stele Forest

Built between 1983 and 2001, Shanxi History Museum is one of the best sites that Xian city offers. There are four major galleries decorated in Tang-style, housing a vast and impressive collection.

Xian Ancient City Wall is the best represent of the oldest Chinese city walls.

The Stele Forest, located in Xian, a museum for steles and stone sculptures. It was officially renamed as the Forest of Stone Steles in 1992. All together, there are 3,000 steles in the museum, which is divided into seven exhibitions halls, displaying works of calligraphy, painting and historical records.

In the area, you will have leisure walk to Muslim Street, community of Hui Minority people.

Xian to Chongqing via flight

Activities: Three Gorges Museum, the Hanging Village

Take morning flight to Chongqing. Guide and driver of Xian will see you off, then Chongqing guide will pick you up at the flight arrival after 1 hour flight journey.

On arrival, visit Three Gorges Museum, it is very impressive with exhibit of many artifacts from the Yangtze area, history about the Yangtze and construction of the Three Gorges Dam. In adjacent, you will also visit the Chongqing people's Hall, the Hanging Village, and have dinner there.

Discover Hanging Village, Cruise pier Transfer (Chongqing); be sure to embark before 20:00 as your luxury ship departs the picturesque Chongqing at 21:00. Enjoy the side trips and various activities that Victoria offers to you in the next 3 days.

Today's Activities: After coffee hours and breakfast, you may enjoy the first shore excursion to Fengdu known as "Ghost City" which consists of a large complex of shrines, temples and monasteries dedicated to the afterlife (optional). From 16:00 to 18:00, shore excursion to Shibaozhai - a 9 floor pavilion leaning against the river side of the hill. It has been considered as a pearl in China's architecture history. Captain's welcome party starts at 6:20pm, and then followed the buffet dinner and performance.

At 12:00, your cruise ship arrive Yichang city, an important transport hub along Yangtze. Guide will meet you at the pier and transfer you the airport for flight to Shanghai.

Shanghai is the largest metropolis of China and an attractive place for visitors from all over the world. The city is a fascinating mix of east and west with a lot to see including the traditional Shikumen houses, European stylish Bund area and skyrocket architects in Pudong area.

Spend a whole day to enjoy Shanghai city essentials. Yuyuan Garden is a must if you do not go to Suzhou city which has many classical Chinese gardens. Yuyuan houses many items with unique characteristics. You will also view Jade Buddha Temple an active Buddhist temple, and one of the richest in Shanghai.

The main treasures are two statues of Buddha, carved from rare single blocks of white jade adorned with precious stones.

The Oriental Pearl Tower, the third highest TV tower in the world, it is the key places. Standing at the tip of Lujiazui in the Pudong district, the tower is found on pretty much every Shanghai postcard. Here, come across wax museum.

The Bund is one of the most attractive sights in Shanghai, lying on the western bank of Huangpu River in the city center. It is regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. Taking a walk alongside and discovering the "museum of buildings".

Zhujiajiao Water Town

There are several water towns scattering around Shanghai area. Among them, Zhujiajiao is the nearest one located in Qingpu District of Shanghai. It was established about 1,700 years ago. The town has many well-preserved historical buildings, 36 bridges and numerous streams. Along the street, there are rice shops, banks, pharmacy, a Qing dynasty post office and gardens. You will also take a cruise wandering the water system.

Afterwards, drive back to the city for train or flight to next station.
