D1 Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport

According to your arrival time, guide from Etripchina will greet you at the flight arrival, please look for a sign of your name; Transfer you to hotel and check in;

D2 Full day priate Great Wall tour & Temple of Heaven

Today's Highlights:

  • Take an easy or complete two hours hike on Mutianyu Great Wall which is much less crowded than Badaling and not heavily restored.
  • Discover the Temple of Heaven which is considered the most holy of Beijing's imperial temples. The architecture are magnificent. And it is a good place to encounter locals at parks surrounding it.

8:30 am – 10:30 pm, drive northeast to Great Wall Mutianyu section;

10:30 pm – 12:30 pm, hike and photograph on the wall;

Mutianyu Great Wall The Great Wall of China is one of the wonders of the world. It is one of the few man-made objects on earth that can be seen on the moon. Mutianyu Great Wall is the essence and one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall, which is located in the northeast of Beijing and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).Because of the important geographic position, it is called as the Majestic Pass on Precipitous Mountains. Its construction has a unique style and the view is spectacular especially from tower 21 to 23. There are secure, convenient and rapid cable cars in the scenic area, which will offer you to experience a panoramic view of the Great Wall.

12:30pm-3:30pm, have authentic local lunch and drive to Temple of Heaven;

3:30 pm –5:00 pm, discover the Temple of Heaven;

Temple of Heaven Temple of Heaven is built in 1420 and its construction is the largest existing temple, which is included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1998.The temple was where emperors went to worship heaven for good harvest. It is not only the pearl of ancient Chinese architecture but also a gem of architectural history of the world.

5:00 pm –6:00 pm, drive back hotel.

Travel Tips:

  • It requires a medium level of walk, two hours in the Forbidden City and Two hours on the Great Wall if you have a complete tour there. Wear comfortable shoes and pack light.
  • When getting to the Wall, you are exposed to sunlight or rain. Prepare sunglasses, sunscreen or umbrella accordingly.

8:30 am -12:00 am, spend 30 minutes also taking photos at Tiananmen Square, then enter the Forbidden City from there and spend the rest of the time in the palace until 12:00 am;

Tiananmen Square is one of the largest public city squares in the world, covers a total area of 440,000 square meters. It was the place for important ceremonies during the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty and was rebuilt in Qing Dynasty. The place has witnessed some of the most important moments in China's history. It represents authority and power, with unrivaled significance, attracts tourists from all over the world. Standing on its four sides are all important political and cultural sites including the Forbidden City, Great Hall of the People, the National Museum.

The Forbidden City, or Imperial Palace, was home to 24 Emperors for almost 500 years from Qing Dynasty to Ming Dynasty. The complex is well preserved with 980 buildings over 720,000 m2. Great squares, halls, gates, gardens and courtyards form a 'city within a city'. Since 1925, this imperial palace has been turned into a museum exhibiting extensive collections of artifacts and artwork. During visiting the colorful architectural art of the Forbidden City, we will also watch the display in the Palace Museum where a lot of treasures have been keeping.

12:00am-1:30pm, have authentic local lunch;

1:30 pm –4:30 pm, insider view of Beijing Hutong area;

Hutong has long history dating back from the Yuan dynasty. It has witnessed the change and development of Beijing. Many of these traditional neighborhoods had been destroyed in the development of modernization. The most notably those around the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower and close to the Forbidden City are well preserved. Simply wandering around or taking a rickshaw tour to navigate Hutong and stop anywhere to take photos, you will be surprised by the courtyards, local market, local customs by getting to the deepest Hutong alleys.

4:00 pm –5:30 pm, visit the Jinshan Park to get a panoramic view of the Forbidden City;

Jingshan Hill, a former imperial garden with beautiful surroundings, is located in the north of the Forbidden City and covers an area of 23 hectares. Jingshan Park is known for its diverse collection of peony in 150 brands, covering eight color series and nine flower shapes. Standing on top of the hill, you can overlook a panoramic view of the Forbidden City. Here is also an excellent place for local elderly people gathering.

5:30 pm –6:30pm, drive back to hotel. (we can drive you back to hotel or take you to the pedestrian street nearby which has full of local flavors and shops.)

  • Tour today is getting more relax than day one but still requires some walks within the parks and stairs up onto the Jinshan Hill that taking some 10- 15 minutes.
  • Prepare some changes if you would like to tip the rickshaw driver.

D4 Beijing to Xi'an By High-speed Rail

Today's Highlights:

  • Stroll along the long corridor in Summer Palace which is regarded as the longest art gallery in the world and has 14,000 traditional paintings painted on the beams.

8:30am-11:30am, visit the famous imperial garden – the Summer Palace;

The Summer Palace With a history of nearly 1000 years, Summer Palace in Beijing is said to be the best preserved imperial garden in the world and the largest of its kind in existence of China. It consists of natural hills, lake, and over 3000 man-made pavilions, palaces, temples, bridges and corridors. It is quite enjoyable to have a relaxing stroll, a boat cruise or discover the aged architectures.

If tour during April to Early October, guide will take you to enjoy a relaxing boat ride to view the spectacular scenery from distance.

11:30pm-12:30pm, have authentic local lunch;

12:30pm-2:00pm, transfer to Beijing west rail station and check-in;

2:00pm-6:30pm, by train (about 4.5 hour);

6:30pm, guide wait for you at Xi'an west rail station and transfer you to hotel;

D5 Xi'an Essentials

9:00 am -12:00 am, drive to visit the Terracotta Army;

The Terracotta Army, an underground construction and terracotta figures, is located in Lintong County. It was found in 1974 and composed of three different sizes of the pit, with a total area of nearly 20000 square meters. Pit layout is reasonable, the structure is unique. The Terracotta Army is unearthed 5 meters beneath the surface and about 4 km. It is referred to as "the eighth wonder of the world", which is the largest underground military museum in the world and has been listed in "the world heritage list" by UNESCO since 1987.

12:00am-2:30pm, have authentic local lunch and drive to Big Wild Goose Pagoda;

2:30 pm –4:30 pm, visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda;

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located in Xi'an, about 4 kilometers from the downtown of the city. It is a famous spots to tourists. It was a five-story construction and then it was built with a seven-story structure. This pagoda is an architectural marvel. It was built with layers of bricks but without any cement in between. It reflects the people's wisdom and talents of ancient China. It is a well-known ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists and regarded as the symbol of the ancient capital of Xi 'an. Standing on the top of it, you can get a panoramic view of Xi'an and the garden around.

4:30 pm –5:30pm, drive back to hotel or take you to the restaurant where you would like to have dinner.

D6 Xi'an Essentials

  • You can enjoy the local delicious snacks in the Moslem Street (Huimin Jie). The food here is extremely delicious.

8:30am-11:30am, visit the Shangxi History Museum;

Shaanxi History Museum is located in the south suburb of Xi'an. It is one of the four largest museums in China, whose architecture and design are complex in the Tang Dynasty. It is symmetric in design, with a main hall in the middle and side pavilions. It is home to a good number of valuable historic artifacts, which show the political, economic, and cultural civilization of ancient China. It houses over 300,000 items and most of them are nation's treasures. It is reputed as "the pearl of the ancient capital, treasure house of Huaxia".

11:30pm-1:30pm, have authentic local lunch;

1:30pm-3:00pm, visit Ancient City Wall and Moslem Street (Huimin Jie) ;

The well-preserved walls, ramparts, gates and watchtowers are great evidence of the city's history. The Wall is composed of a series of military installations including the moat, drawbridge, gate building, Jianlou Tower, Zhenglou Tower (the main building), Jiaolou Tower (turret), Dilou Tower (watchtower), Nv’er Qiang (parapet) and crenel. Complete City Wall, together with the moat and Around-Xi’an Park, has become a must-see scenic spot of Xi’an city.

Moslem Street (Huimin Jie) has a long history. It is an old street paved with bluestone plate, both sides of which stand a row of muslin restaurants decorated in Ming and Qing Dynasties’ styles. This is the right place to taste Xian snacks, the food here is extremely delicious, such as nuts, buckwheat noodles, stewed mutton soup, persimmon cakes, multi-layered fried cakes and so on. It is a real enjoyment for you to eat here.

3:00pm-4:30pm, transfer to Xi'an rail station and check-in;

4:30pm-8:00am, by train (about 15 hour, guide will greet you at Shanghai rail station the next day).

D7 BEIJING ESSENTIALS

Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located in Pudong Park in Lujiazui, which is the third highest TV tower in the world and considered as the most distinct landmark in Shanghai area. It is famous for unique architectural design of tower. Visitors travel up and down the tower in double-decker elevators that can hold up to fifty people at the rate of seven meters per second. Once you reach your destination, you will be amazed at the variety of activities. Standing on the top of it, you can have a bird's-eye view of the bund and Shanghai scenery.

12:00am-1:30pm,have authentic local lunch;

1:30 pm –3:30 pm, visit Shanghai History Museum;

Shanghai History Museum is one of the most incredible museum in China housing more than 120, 000 pieces of collections. Many of them are China's most precious artifacts. It was formerly known as Shanghai Historical Relic Exhibition Hall and got the present name in 1991. The 40,000-plus exhibits collected by the Museum reflect the historic vicissitudes of the Shanghai city, which comprehensively reflect the historical development of Shanghai.

3:30 pm –4:30 pm, visit Yuyuan Garden;

Yuyuan Garden is considered as one of the renowned gardens in south China retaining some of best Chinese traditional architecture and culture. It is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and was built in Ming Dynasty first as a private garden owned by Pan Yunduan. As its features, the best elements of landscape architecture, it was reputed to be the NO.1 garden in south China.

4:30 pm –5:30 pm, visit the Bund and Nangjing Road;

The Bund is located in the center of Shanghai, which has 1500 meters stretch along the Huangpu River. There are dozens of historical European colonial building lining against the Huangpu River that once housed numerous banks from Britain, France, USA, Russia, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands and Belgium. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shanghai. And it is really a beautiful place which is worthy visiting.

Nanjing Road is one of the most famous shopping streets in the world, such as Giant shopping centers, specialist boutiques, international brands, local goods. It's all here. It attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. In the day - time, the street is crowned with visitors and when the night falls, the colorful neon lights make the street more attractive.

5:30 pm –6:00pm, drive back to hotel or take you to the Nangjing Road for shopping by yourself.

2. 7 to 14 days before commencement of services: charge 10% of the tour price
3. 2 to 6 days before commencement of services: charge 50% of the tour price
4. within 2 days of commencement of services or no-show travelers: charge 100% of the tour price
After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your willingness, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
