Beijing to Xian via bullet train (one way)

Finish a morning visit to the Summer Palace which is widely regarded as the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China and one of Beijing's premier attractions, then take bullet train from Beijing to Xian. Beijing west station is not far from the Summer Palace in the western part of Beijing.

Xian had been the capital of 13 dynasties and kingdoms in China's history. Today the city is flourishing again and still maintains a lot of its old charms.

Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby to start a day private tour to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda - a major Buddhist site left in Xian and one of the world's wonders, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is a large number of underground army buried 2km in front of the Emperor Qinshihuang's Tomb in east of Xian. Visitors can view 1,868 unearthed terracotta warriors and chariots that have been restored to their former glory. It is a very attractive view whatever you like or dislike history and culture.

Xian to Beijing via overnight train (one way)

Enjoy a day tour of Xian before taking train back to Beijing. - Shaanxi History Museum is said to be the history of China, and this museum is quite simply one of the nation's best housing a vast and impressive collection. The other attraction is the ancient City Wall which encircles the old Xian City and is considered as a landmark of Xian. You will also visit the Muslim Street which lies only 100 meters away.

Travel Tips

  • All the trains (bullet train and Z trains) of Beijing-Xian routes are clean and comfortable with all type of seats which allows you to make your trip affordable or luxury.
  • Train tickets in China are put on sale 60 days before departure. If your inquiry is sent within 60 days, the itinerary may have to be revised a bit depending on the tickets availability.
  • Although all train lines in China do not have formal luggage restrictions currently, it is wise to travel light. There is no luggage assistance available and you may need to carry the luggage go up and down stairs as some stations have limited number or no elevators at all.
