Lijiang old Town has a history over 800 years and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was once one of the key points along the old tea horse road. Different from other ancient towns in China, its architecture, culture and art has strong characteristics of local Naxi people. Highlights include Wangu Tower – landmark building of Lijiang.

Take a morning excursion to hug the glacier at Jade Snow Mountain. Then visit Jade Spring Park and the Mural in Baisha Village which remains un-repainted and un-repaired since it was created 400 years ago.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, known as Yulong Snow Mountain, is a mountain range stretching a length of 35 kilometers (22 miles) in Yunnan Province, southwestern China. Part of Yulong Snow Mountain near Lijiang has been developed into a scenic area, offering cable car ride up to the mountain to hug the glacier.

A full day visit of Songzanlin Lamasery and Podacuo National Park.

Modeled from Potala Palace, Songzanlin Monastery is a Tibetan-buddhist monastery built on a mountain slope, 5 km away from the city of Shangri-la. It is one of the holiest monasteries outside of Tibet.

Pudacuo National Park is notable as the first national park in China. It is located some 50 minute drive away from Shangri-la city. Visitors can enjoy spectacular view of lakes, dense forests, pasture and close visit to local minority villages.

Today a sightseeing tour takes in the key attractions in Lhasa, including the famous world heritage site - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Barkor is a Barkor is a one-kilometer long narrow street encircled the Jokhang Temple, lively, colorful and authentic.

Potala Palace in Lhasa is one of the most grandiose palaces in the world. The outstanding structure is built on the red hill and as old as the Lhasa city with a history of more than 1300 years. It was the former residence of Dalai Lama until 1949. The palace is well preserved with 999 rooms inside and decorated countless statues, murals and antiques.

A day visit of monastery around Lhasa including Norbulingka (the former Summer Palace of the Dalai Lama)and Sera Monastery. Drop a visit of the Carpet Factory if you have curiosity of Carpet making.

Located 2 km in the northern suburb of Lhasa City, Sera Monastery is one the three Gelugpa monasteries in Lhasa. Built in 1419, Sera Monastery suffered severe damage several times and was restored to its former glory in the last century. The architecture itself is very impressive and houses beautiful collection of sacred art. It is also very interesting to watch the monks debating in the afternoon.

Lhasa to Gyantze

Road journey from Lhasa to Gyangtze is 260 km and takes some 7 to 8 hours. Except the range of snow-capped mountains, the Yomdrok Lake is a great reward for your long journey. Stay overnight at Gyangtze. Please note facilities at hotels here are not at the same level even you choose the best in the region.

Dotted with a dozen islands and abundant in natural resources, Lake Yamdrok has the highest power station in the world, and is also the largest habitat for water birds in Tibet, attracting countless swans and gulls every summer.

Gyangtze to Shigatse

Discover more of the remarkable Gyangtze city and include a visit to the Palgor Chorten. Drive for 2 hours to Shigatse in the afternoon. In Shigatse, visit Tashilunpo Monastery. Please note facilities at hotels here are not at the same level even you choose the best in the region.

Tashilhunpo Monastery was founded in 1447 by Gyalwa Gendun Drup (1st Dalai Lama). The 5 story temple represents the Tibetan super architecture art in the last Tibetan spirit. Of particular interest are the huge temple to the Maitreya Buddha (the 'Buddha to Be'); the tomb of the 10th Panchen Lama (who died in 1989); the Palace of the Panchen Lama; and the tomb of the 5th to 9th Panchen Lamas.
